A digital 3-colour meter for measuring the colour temperature of ambient and flash light and indicating the appropriate LB and CC filters for photography – also light intensity and flash power.
In professional photography the correct reproduction of colour is one of the most important requirements. The lighting conditions of the scene will often require the use of filters. The GOSSEN Colormaster 3F provides all the capabilities the professional photographer will need. At the push of a single button the colour temperature is measured and the corresponding filters in LB and CC values are displayed. The settings and readings automatically appear on the display. The different sources of light, be it daylight or
artificial light (incandescent lamp, halogen etc.), fluorescent tubes, are measured with great accuracy to analyse the finest differences in the colour temperature.
The meter is also ideally suited for the photographers’ work in the studio and on location. Flash sync speeds between 1/500 and 1/2 sec. can be preselected.
Special features
• Preselection of the colour temperature of the film used – standard types and intermediate values
• Preset colour temperature characteristics of the film used and preselected functions are constantly shown in the display
• Preselected functions are constantly displayed
• Readings of the luminous intensity of ambient light in Lux and flash power in Lux/seconds
• A second diffuser for extending the measuring ranges for powerful flash and continuous light is included with each meter
• Meter readings and preset values remain stored in the memory, even after shut-off
• Light sensor consisting of three silicon photocells with special filters
• Automatic battery check
• Simple one-hand operation; the swivel head providing comfortable, professional measuring
