The Strobies XS is unique way to hold your flash gun and use it with a softbox, a large beauty dish or with almost any any other "S" type fitting accessories available. However a 7" reflector (as shown bottom image) is included with every XS bracket allowing you to add further accessories etc.
One of the major benefits of the XS Bracket is its ability to rotate it's hotshoe mount to enable your iTTL or eTTL port to be visible to your Infrared triggering system such as an SU800,STE-2 or control / trigger flashgun.
In addition to the rotating hotshoe we have built in a second hotshoe to hold a radio receiver or a second flash gun should you desire to use the Strobies XS to hold an Umbrella in the light stand fitting provided.
Using 2 flashguns will effectively double your output, a major benefit of this is reducing your recycling time and preserving your batteries to enable longer usage times.
A wide range of accessories are available to fit the Strobies XS brackets "S" type bayonet fitting.

This Strobies XS Softbox Kit consists of:

The new “S” Type bracket kits allows you to connect your Hotshoe flashgun to almost any “S” type fitting light shaping tools such as softboxes, beauty dishes, snoots, barndoor sets and spill kill reflectors etc. One of the main benefits of the STROBIES XS is its rotating hotshoe mount, which allows your iTTL or eTTL port to be seen on the same side as your camera and flash triggering system (Nikon SU800 / Canon ST-E2). This allows for a greater range of the infrared triggering system with the above units or main flashgun as it no longer has to rely on walls or other objects to bounce the infrared signal back to the unit.
The STROBIES XS bracket also features an additional hotshoe for mounting a radio receiver for full manual control of your lighting system or a second flash unit should you use the bracket as an umbrella holder via the light stand mount which also has the facility to tilt backwards and forwards for perfect positioning.

Fitting a Flex Mount could not be simpler.
The flex Mount is correctly fitted when the the flash gun cannot be pushed any further inside the flex mount and is flush with the central hole of the Flex Mount. Colour gels may be fitted inside the Flex Mount including manufacture’s “white balance filters”.
You do not need to use any glue, rubber bands or velcrowhen using a Strobies Flex Mount. In the image on the right you can clearly see the front mounting clips for use with Strobies products, these allow you to change from a Beauty Dish to a Snoot in seconds.
Flex Mount Softbox Mounting holes
On each edge of the Flex mount you will see 4 holes for mounting a Strobies softbox,(as shown with the rods inserted). It is best to erect the softbox without the flex mount being on the flashgun to prevent any damage to the Flash gun or the material of the softbox.

The Portrait kit is the ideal answer for the mobile photographer using these light weight and portable STROBIES lighting accessories . The EFX kit is the perfect addition to the Portrait kit. By adding the additional items in this kit. You will soon create drama inducing side lighting to your portraits by using the two honeycombs with the Flex Mounts to create highlights on the side of the face of your model. The snoot or bounce tube can be used as a hair light to produce unlimited effects and light on the back of the hair. The Velcro strap with the Honeycomb could be your background light. For a smaller spot light on the background why not use the "Velcro on" Honeycomb and bounce tube together.
For Product photography the EFX kit comes into is own by using the snoot you can highlight the smallest details which can be used with or without the front honeycombs to guide the light forward. In addition you could use the Flex Mount honeycombs to create a wide area spot concentrated on the background or the subject.

You can use the Beauty dish as a reflector by removing the central disk to create a hard or long though light source.

The globe difuser offers a soft uniform light source and is ideal for large group shots for mobile, wedding and portrait photographers Using the globe difuser in iTTL or eTTL flash mode generally does not need any adjustment to your exposure systems.
When using the Globe behind a model you could add a colour gel to the back of the globe This will then provide a hair light and a colour wash to your background, this enables you to be more economical with your lighting system.

Sony/Minolta cameras do not have a standard Hotshoe on the top of the camera.
This means you will not be able to fit many useful accessories like standard Infrared triggers, radio triggers etc so you will need one of these to enable their use.
Most of the Sony / Minolta range of cameras also do not have a P.C.Sync cable socket, so we have built one in to the STR114 adaptor to enable you to use this with Interfit Studio lighting kits such as the EX150 MKII kits.
